Friends,
Between busy routines and the occasional indulgence, many of us look for gentle ways to feel refreshed and reset. For me, that often starts with something simple: a warm, caffeine-free cup of herbal tea. Herbal teas have been part of wellness traditions around the world for centuries, and they're a flavorful, gentle way to care for yourself.
So what does "detox" really mean? Your body already has an amazing, God-given system for cleansing itself, led by your liver and kidneys. No tea replaces that. What a good herbal tea can do is support a healthy routine: it keeps you hydrated, it gives you a calm moment in the day, and it carries herbs that have been traditionally used to support digestion and overall well-being.
That's the heart of our Herbal Heaven Tea. It was one of my four original blends, and it's one I always recommend keeping in your pantry.

The Herbs in Herbal Heaven Tea
I chose each ingredient for its traditional use and for how beautifully it tastes in the cup.
Lemon Balm
A bright, citrusy member of the mint family, lemon balm has long been enjoyed for its calming qualities and traditionally used to support comfortable digestion.
Nettle Leaf
Naturally rich in minerals, nettle leaf has been used in herbal traditions for centuries and gives the blend an earthy, green depth.
Elderflower
Delicate and floral, elderflower is a classic in European herbal traditions, especially during the cooler months. It softens the blend with a honeyed note.
Ginger Root
Warming and gently spicy, ginger is one of the most widely used herbs for supporting digestion.
Green Rooibos
A naturally caffeine-free red bush from South Africa, green rooibos is rich in antioxidants and has a smooth, slightly sweet flavor.
Hibiscus
Vibrant and tart, hibiscus is naturally rich in antioxidants and gives Herbal Heaven its gorgeous ruby color and berry-like brightness.
Lemon Peel
Lemon peel adds a burst of citrus freshness along with natural flavonoids.
Licorice Root
Naturally sweet, licorice root rounds out the earthier herbs so the blend needs no added sugar.
How to Brew Herbal Heaven
- Use 1 heaping teaspoon of loose leaf per 8 oz cup, in a reusable tea sachet or infuser.
- Pour water just off the boil (about 212°F) over the tea.
- Steep for 5 to 7 minutes. Herbal teas love a longer steep.
- Enjoy it warm in the morning, or pour it over ice for a ruby-red iced tea.
A Gentle Note Before You Sip
Licorice root and hibiscus aren't recommended for everyone, including during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for people with high blood pressure or those taking certain medications. If that's you, please check with your healthcare provider first. The best wellness routine is still the simple one: plenty of water, nourishing food, rest, movement and time with the people you love.
